my name is Alexander Muse and I'm co-founder of Big in Japan I'm one of the guys who helps kind of keep everything in order and I think the the internet really enables us to have opportunities for um the tail you know every Britney Spears is here and then you know you are way down here on the tail so there's the web makes it really inexpensive for you
to distribute you and your ideas um in the past it was really you could only afford to distribute Britney Spears because we all liked her but it's you pretty easy to distribute so the that that taale is there and so I think that the web and and and mobile devices theoretically allow us to you create a market for our ideas where in the in the traditional Marketplace
of ideas in the Square you know we would get drowned out but on the web you can be seen and heard a small idea I see lots of uh turmoil I see lots of uh opportunity and I I see lots of neat things happening um you know in the I think Android from my perspective what I'm interested in in Mobile development on the Android side um I
see that there's going to be um you know significant disruption um and and significant problems I think you know Android represents sort of the wild west of of mobile application um you know no one's in control and everyone can develop anything they want um and that means that you know you'll have malicious people who develop bad things um and and those will come to light and and
there will be news reports and and potentially governments legislating and and so on and so forth and I think you'll have you know just incompetent people developing applications that ruin your battery and and don't do good things and and then I see uh you know that creating opportunities for um people who you can trust to develop applications and so you know who can you trust to you
know not steal your data to not you know use your battery up so so from my perspective I see lots of uh turmoil and then ultimately lots of opportunities do you think that technology will save the world um I don't know I don't I don't I think people save the world
